On September 20–21, 2025, Ryder Cup 239 made its debut across two Southwest Florida courses — Fort Myers Country Club on Saturday and The Club at Gateway on Sunday. Four sessions spanning scramble, shamble, best ball, and singles wrote the first chapter in the Team Fort vs Palm City Legion rivalry. Team Fort won every session on the way to a decisive 16–4 victory, with Mark Stefanacci leading all scorers at 4.0 points. Palm City Legion pushed back hardest in Sunday singles, but the inaugural Cup — and the trophy — belonged to Fort.
